Datum Tool Design Supports Airbus A350 Composite Tooling Programme

Datum Tool Design has supported the development of the Airbus A350 aircraft programme, contributing specialist tooling solutions used in the manufacture of advanced composite aircraft structures.

Working in conjunction with Airbus and leading aerospace tooling manufacturers, Datum delivered a range of tooling systems designed to support the production of key composite components within the aircraft’s wing and fuselage structures.

The project included tooling for demonstrator wing covers, centre wing box structures and rear fuselage panels, supporting the manufacture and curing of complex composite components used within the A350 aircraft platform.
